  • Definition and management of the MTU combustion chamber technology program within the Engine-3E technology program
1997 – 1999 Management of the TPAB department at MTU, Munich (TPAB=Engineering, Product design, Aerodynamics, Combustion chambers) The TPAB department was responsible for all R&D combustion chamber programs as well as the combustion chamber components of the power plant programs.
1999 – 2000 Management of the MTR390 power plant program including responsibility for engineering, staffing, deadlines and budgets within MTU, Munich.
1999 Appointment as "Hot gas combustion" consultant within MTU, Munich. As a consultant, I continued to advise the Heat Engineering Department on issues relevant to combustion.

  • 1992 - 1998: Deputy Chairman of the T2.3 COMBUSTION expert committee of the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics (DGLR)
  • 1995 - 2000: Member of the "Gas turbine exhaust emissions" working party of the German Association of Machinery and Plant Manufacturers (VDMA e.V.)
  • Member of the CRAY-TECFLAM project's industry advisory panel
  • Expert for the German Research Foundation's (DFG) focus program "Fluid atomisation and spray processes"
  • Membership of the "Program Subcommittee" of the "Symposium on Combustion", Reviewer since the 23rd "Symposium on Combustion"
