We are looking to recruit at the Engler-Bunte-Institut, Combustion Technology in the framework of the european joint project 'Energy Efficient Coil Coating Process' at the earliest opportunity a position as an

Academic Staff member with the main focus:
Process development and plant engineering
of a furnace for coil coating

at the earliest opportunity. The employment is limited for a period of 3.5 years. Scientific further qualification (doctorate) is possible. The opportunity to do so is given within the framework of the project tasks.

Your task
is the process and plant engineering development for the technical implementation of an innovative furnace concept for coil coating. The focus is on process simulation and process engineering development of a new furnace concept in close cooperation with the partners of the European research project responsible for production. Furthermore, the work focuses on the diagnostic recording of key parameters of the realized furnace concept as well as the process monitoring. Accompanying fundamental studies on individual aspects of furnace development round off the work.

You have received a university degree (Diploma(Uni) / Master) in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, process engineering or similar. You are expected to have very good knowledge in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and chemical reaction technology. The work has a focus on process technology. Communication skills in English as well as experience with software for process simulation and/or process monitoring are advantageous in this context.
