Maurus Bauer receives The Gesellschaft der Freunde des EBI am KIT e.V. Prize

The Gesellschaft der Freunde des Engler-Bunte-Instituts am KIT e.V. annually awards the Engler-Bunte Institute Prize for outstanding master’s theses in the fields of process engineering, energy, and water. The prize recognizes work distinguished by exceptional commitment, creativity, and methodological excellence.
In 2022, Maurus Bauer, M.Sc., received the award for his master’s thesis entitled “Nanostructure and size distribution of carbon nanoparticles in counterflow flames using time-resolved laser-induced incandescence at three excitation wavelengths.” The thesis was carried out under the supervision of Professor Trimis, with scientific guidance from Fabian Hagen, M.Sc., and Professors Bockhorn and Suntz. Mr. Bauer is now a doctoral researcher at the Engler-Bunte Institute, Combustion Technology, focusing on hydrogen combustion. We warmly congratulate him on this award and wish him continued success in his research.
